The final phase of CyberChallenge.it, the Italian training program for young talents in cybersecurity, will take place in Turin from June 28 to July 1. This initiative, promoted by the Cybersecurity National Lab of the Cini Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l'Informatica and supported by theAcn and theItalian Data Protection Authority, will involve 860 young people from different Italian schools and aged between 16 and 24.
The final challenge will be held on July 29 at the ILO's CIF International Training Center campus, where the finalist ethical hackers will test their skills in fields such as cryptography, network security, and hardware and software infrastructure. Participants will be divided into teams, representing the 43 locations involved in the program, including 40 universities, the Tuscan C3T Cybersecurity Competence Center,, the Army Training Command and School of Application in Turin and theAir Force Academy in Pozzuoli.
On June 30, the eight best teams will have the opportunity to present their exhibits on the topic of cybersecurity before a panel of judges consisting of institutions, communications experts and representatives of leading companies in the industry. Prior to the awards ceremony, participating teams will also have the chance to meet with Platinum sponsor companies at a recruitment fair to get noticed and consider possible career opportunities in cybersecurity.
The best ethical hackers who stand out during CyberChallenge.it could be selected to be part of TeamItaly, the National Cyberdefender Team, which will participate in theECSC European Cybersecurity Challenge scheduled to take place in Hamar, Norway, next October.
