The Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs has chosen Turin as a place of reference thanks to its entrepreneurial soul, its technological experimentation and its polarization towards innovation that has made it a place of attraction and interest for the Italian movement of startups from the most diverse sectors. The U.S. university, in the city of Boston, has also opened up to future collaborations and partnerships in research and academia.
Harvard University, therefore, will introduce our city in the cycle of online events called "Smart Cities". Among the topics that will be discussed is the recent birth of the Casa delle tecnologie emergenti House of Emerging Technologies, which has also shown interest in future involvement as a partner in the activities of the university in Boston, which has always been a global center of excellence in the training and growth of the best talent in the world. Our city was chosen for its industrial and technological history and for its commitment and investments dedicated to the mobility sectors, as confirmed by Philip Guarino, president of the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs association in Paris: "We are pleased to launch our Smart Cities series with the example of Turin, a city well known for its innovation in mobility."
Marco Pironti, Councilor for Innovation of the City of Turin, added: "The collaboration with Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs is a great honor for the city. The Smart Cities working group of the U.S. university shows a great trajectory between the city of Turin and one of the world's greatest epicenters of knowledge. My hope is that this is just the beginning of a new axis of international innovation that can see Torino at the center as a smart city and a hub for global innovation."
