Registration open for second NextEdu accelerator program

The international EdTech accelerator program, born out of a collaboration between Finland's xEdu and Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, returns to OGR Torino.

xEdu, the pioneering Finnish accelerator that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, thanks to the support of the Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT and collaboration with OGR Torino is pleased to announce the launch of the second edition of NextEdu. Scheduled for September 2023, it will take place over a four-month period at OGR Tech - the innovation hub of OGR Torino - creating an environment conducive to networking right from the start. xEdu stands out for its ongoing commitment to fostering the growth and development of startups in the field of educational technology and invites entrepreneurs from around the world to apply and seize the opportunity to become part of a dynamic ecosystem. The call for startups will be open to all innovative projects in the field of EdTech, with a particular focus on solutions that promote the transformation of traditional education. Although the program welcomes international participants, it is important to note that it will adopt a hybrid approach, combining elements of virtual participation and in-person meetings: physical presence in Turin will, therefore, be required to maximize opportunities for collaboration and interaction with experts in the field.

Also presented on this occasion is the establishment of Italy's first Advisory Board entirely dedicated to the EdTech sector. This board will play a key role in supporting the accelerator's initiatives. Leading this board will be Dr. Enzo Peruffo, full professor at LUISS and Chairman of the Advisory Board, and Antti Korhonen, CEO and founder of xEdu, who serves as Vice Chairman. This team of experts will share their experience and expertise to offer strategic guidance to the selected startups, facilitating the meeting of prominent figures in the EdTech landscape and creating a stimulating and constructive dialogue aimed at offering a professional and advisory perspective that fosters the growth of startups.

The establishment of this Advisory Board represents a significant step forward for the Italian EdTech sector and, thanks to the collaboration and involvement of influential figures, the selected startups will benefit from an extensive network of contacts and a diverse pool of expertise. This synergy will foster the identification of innovative solutions, the development of new opportunities and the acceleration of technological progress.
