The Angel Group arrives in Turin: a partnership with the Politecnico is ready

The new headquarters will be dedicated to aerospace and railway projects, on which a team of 15 engineers and specialised technicians will work in the initial phase.

The new Turin offices of Angel, an Italian industrial group that designs and develops high-tech solutions for the transport, aerospace and digital mechatronics sectors , were inaugurated in Corso Trapani. Among the participants were Angel Group founder Vito Pertosa, Sitael President Chiara Pertosa, Intesa Sanpaolo President Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, Piedmont Aerospace District President Prof. Fulvia Quagliotti, Turin Polytechnic Rector's delegate Prof. Sabrina Corpino and CeiPiemonte (Piedmont Internationalisation Centre) President Prof. Dario Peirone.

The Turin office is part of the growth plan of Angel, 1750 employees in 19 countries, launched in recent years to increase the presence of the group's companies at national and international level. One of the goals is also to make the company a leading player in the creation of new innovation centres, technological districts and hubs of excellence for scientific research. In Turin, in fact, the industrial group will collaborate with the Politecnico di Torino for three years on scientific research and technological innovation in the fields of aerospace, railways, artificial intelligence and cyber security.

Chiara Pertosa, President of Sitael, part of the Angel group, said: "One of our main purposes is to create new jobs and recruit resources in the area. Turin is an important area with highly skilled profiles, thanks to the presence of the Politecnico and the stakeholders present today, to create new synergies in research and innovation."

Sabrina Corpino, delegate of the Rector of the Polytechnic, commented on the collaboration between the hi-tech group and the Turin academic institution: "This is an important opportunity to contribute to the innovation and growth of the region in the transport and aerospace sectors, where our university can bring its expertise, which is extensive and consolidated in these areas. We are profoundly convinced that public-private cooperation is a great added value for Piedmont's industrial and technological system".
