A collection of digital collectables in video format: this is the agreement between Torino FC and Portuguese startup RealFevr for the creation of NFT content that will tell the most iconic moments in the history of the club and its most representative players from the 1999/2000 season, between Stadio delle Alpi, Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and Stadio Filadelfia.
This is the first time that a club in our Serie A has entered into an agreement of this kind with an innovative company to sell digital videos of football moments played, converted to NFT. This partnership will create a whole new form of engagement for the club supporters and sports fans and will position Torino FC as a modern, new technology oriented company, potentially bringing great value to the club.
Lorenzo Barale, commercial director of Torino FC, commented: 'We are very excited to join the NFT community thanks to the agreement with RealFevr. This is an important step for Torino FC, a club constantly striving for innovation. The goal of this partnership is to give our fans new ways to interact with the club, while also continuing our digital transformation to connect with all football fans around the world".
Fred Antunes, CEO of RealFevr, added: 'This is a historic and pivotal moment for world football. RealFevr will be the first company in the world to resurrect the brilliant and magnificent history of Italian football, in particular Torino FC. Until now, no fan could collect great goals, saves or other iconic football moments, but RealFevr's NFTs put an end to that. It is this ability to lead the market that moves us decisively and unites us with a club as big as Torino FC, which from the first meeting seemed the ideal partner for this initiative. I am very excited about this huge opportunity for both companies".
