On Saturday 31 May 2025, “Lei Non Puo” will be held in Turin, an event organized by SITUnito and dedicated to the issues of gender equality, women’s empowerment and the challenges that women face in the contemporary world of work.

The event will take place from 16:00 to 20:00 at Studiare in Tipografia, in Piazza Santa Giulia 10. The program includes a series of speeches and testimonies by professionals from different sectors, with the aim of stimulating public reflection on the barriers – cultural, social and economic – that still hinder women’s full participation in professional life.

The debate on gender issues is also particularly topical in the context of innovation and technological entrepreneurship, a reference area for our community. According to data updated to the second quarter of 2024, only 14.26% of innovative startups in Italy are predominantly female. Globally, women startup founders account for around 15%, with Europe among the regions with the lowest percentage, at 12.6%.

At the same time, Italy holds the European record for the number of female entrepreneurs and self-employed workers, with almost 1.6 million women. However, the female employment rate remains among the lowest in the EU, standing at 53.6% in 2024. These numbers clearly indicate that, while presence and potential are significant, access to decision-making positions, funding, and opportunities in tech and startups still remains limited for many women.

“Lei Non Puo” is therefore proposed as an opportunity to deepen these issues, listen to different voices and stimulate a constructive discussion. An event open to professionals, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who wants to contribute to a necessary cultural change, even and above all in the most innovative sectors. Admission to the event includes two drinks and a small aperitif: book your place here now.
