OGR Torino has announced a strategic partnership with EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, and become the only EIT Urban Mobility startup agent in Italy. A recognition that consolidates their role as protagonists of innovation, with record numbers that include over 350 million euros of investments attracted for startups, 15 active innovation programs and more than 70 partners including corporates and investors. The partnership contributes to the growth of the European urban mobility landscape, strengthening OGR’s reputation as a dynamic innovation hub, integrated into the pan-European mobility network, while positioning Turin as a center of excellence for a sustainable future.
Thanks to the ability to combine an important industrial heritage with an increasingly central role in technological innovation, OGR and the city of Turin confirm themselves as a cutting-edge laboratory for urban mobility solutions and smart cities. Recently awarded European Capital of Innovation 2024and ranked among the 40 best European ecosystems for performance and funding in Startup Genome’s Global Startup Ecosystem Report, Turin represents the ideal terrain for the development of innovative solutions to the urban challenges of the present and the future.
Since the launch of OGR Tech in 2019, OGR Torino has been a catalyst for pioneering ideas, and has identified sustainable mobility as one of its main areas of action. Joining forces with EIT Urban Mobility allows OGR Torino to continue their mission and strengthen their impact in the urban mobility sector.

Through this collaboration, EIT Urban Mobility will invest in early-stage Italian startups, identified and selected by OGR Torino. These companies will be able to benefit from funding of up to €2 million, dedicated accelerator programmes and opportunities to test their technologies in some of Europe’s major cities. By connecting Italian innovators to EIT’s extensive network of Urban Mobility, the partnership will open new avenues of growth for high-potential startups.
In addition to direct investments, the partnership includes workshops, networking events and customized programs to support startups in addressing critical urban mobility challenges. These initiatives will help consolidate Turin’s position on the global innovation map, enhancing the ability to successfully integrate industrial skills and cutting-edge technological solutions.
