With an event held on May 21st at Confindustria Canavese, C.NEXT Ivrea officially presented its Call for Startups 2025, kicking off an initiative designed to intercept and accompany the growth of new innovative entrepreneurial projects, without sector constraints.
The call represents the operational debut of the new business incubator in the Canavese area, born within the C.NEXT ecosystem and hosted in the regenerated spaces of the historic ICO Olivetti Workshops, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The program aims to support up to five early-stage startups, through a free six-month incubation process.
C.NEXT is a national network of innovation hubs with active offices in Como, Ivrea and Ascoli Piceno, and new hubs coming soon in Novara, Pescara and other territories. The system brings together more than 150 companies and organizations with a common vocation for innovation and collaboration.
The Ivrea hub was launched in 2022, on the initiative of the Canavese area and in collaboration with Icona S.r.l., owner of the ICO complex. The goal is to generate an economic and social impact through support for innovation and the creation of new businesses.
Stefano Soliano, CEO of C.NEXT S.p.A. and Vice President of InnovUp, said: “The Call for Startup 2025 of C.NEXT Ivrea marks the start of the incubation activity of the Canavese hub and defines a format to support innovative business ideas that will be adopted by all the hubs of the national C.NEXT system. Through these incubation and, then, acceleration paths, the C.NEXT system aims to support the birth and growth of new companies alongside its mission, aimed at enhancing innovative companies”.
The Incubation Program includes face-to-face training sessions, personalized mentoring, access to the national C.NEXT community, use of the incubator spaces and, for the most promising realities, a possible acceleration path with direct contacts to investors, funds and financial institutions.
Among the topics covered in the six training modules:
- Lean Startup
- Customer Discovery
- Marketing
- Business Planning
- Fundraising
- Public Speaking
Alberto Mina, Head of the incubation service of C.NEXT Ivrea, said: “I am particularly proud to be part of this initiative, because I firmly believe that an incubator is a forge of growth for the territory. Seeing how innovation is cultivated, the economic and social fabric is renewed and new prospects for development are opened up is a truly rewarding experience”.
In line with its statute as a Benefit Corporation, C.NEXT Ivrea has chosen to offer the program completely free of charge, without requiring equity or legal rights on the incubated projects. The call is aimed at startups and aspiring entrepreneurs in the most diverse sectors, with particular attention to Sport & Leisure, ICT & Electronics, Social Welfare and Manufacturing. The Call for Startup 2025 was made possible thanks to the support of sponsors such as CM Service, Netsurf, Novalis Consulting, Sertec Engineering, Tesi Square, Umana and Yougo, and the patronage of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, City of Ivrea, Confindustria Canavese, InnovUp and Sport Innovation Hub.
