ALBA Robot, an innovative startup founded in 2019 by Andrea Bertaia and Giacomo Moiso, has announced the closing of a €4.98 million Series A round, led by CDP Venture Capital together with Next Investments and Enthofin. The capital raised will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and consolidate its position in the field of autonomous mobility in pedestrian environments.
The new round follows the €2.6 million seed completed in 2023 by the Cysero EuVECA Fund managed by AVM SGR. With these funds, ALBA Robot will continue the evolution from a technological platform to a mobility provider, expanding services for the autonomous movement of people, objects and data.
ALBA Robot develops micro-mobility solutions that transform transport within complex structures through fleets of autonomous vehicles. Incubated in I3P, the Innovative Business Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin, between 2020 and 2023, the startup was awarded “Startup of the Year 2023” for the social impact and technological innovation of its projects.
In the last 18 months, the company has carried out 11 pilot projects for a fee, two of which have already been converted into commercial services and two more are planned by the end of the year. After
On the international front, the company strengthens its presence in the United States: in addition to the operational base at Newlab Detroit, a C-Corp has been established in Delaware, a strategy that will favor new projects and local robot production.
