Kappa FuturFestival 2025: electronic music, sustainability and innovation meet at Parco Dora in Turin

Through concrete initiatives, the festival promotes innovative waste management, energy efficiency, smart mobility, inclusion and social enhancement.

From 4 to 6 July 2025, Turin will host the twelfth edition of the Kappa FuturFestival, an international event that combines high-level electronic music with a cutting-edge approach to sustainability and technology. The location is Parco Dora, an urban space that is a symbol of regeneration and innovation in the city. With six stages and a line-up of over 130 artists from all over the world, the festival confirms itself as a cultural and technological hub, capable of attracting a global audience and proposing concrete solutions for a greener and more inclusive future.

On the environmental front, the organization has implemented strategic collaborations with companies such as Amiat S.p.A., which deals with enhanced separate waste collection, and the RE-CIG project for the separate collection of cigarette butts, an innovative step in the management of urban waste.

From an energy point of view, the festival will take advantage of the latest generation Stage V generators and LED lighting, thus optimizing consumption and reducing the environmental impact. Ancillary services, such as those provided by Sebach for portable toilets, will also help offset emissions with carbon credits, demonstrating an integrated vision of sustainability.

Mobility is another central theme: thanks to partnerships with Turin and national realities such as GTT, URBI, Wetaxi and Trenitalia, the Kappa FuturFestival promotes the use of public and shared transport, offering economic incentives and dedicated shuttle services. An important new feature is the integration with MaaS ToMove, the Turin-based Mobility as a Service platform. This collaboration allows attendees to plan and book their entire journey to the festival by combining trains, buses, bike sharing and other means of transport directly from a single app, making the experience smoother, more efficient and, above all, reducing everyone’s carbon footprint. The festival thus demonstrates a concrete commitment to more sustainable and integrated mobility, in line with modern smart cities.

The festival also advocates for social and cultural innovation, through initiatives such as “TRASHed :: Art of Recycling” in collaboration with Global Inheritance, which transforms waste materials into works of art, and “The Art of Thrifting”, a campaign to encourage the use of vintage and second-hand clothing among Kappa FuturFestival participants.

Finally, there will also be particular attention to inclusion through the introduction of 100% compostable feminine hygiene products, the result of the partnership with the startup This Unique which has already been collaborating with the festival since 2023, a choice that underlines the commitment to a more attentive and respectful experience.

The Kappa FuturFestival 2025 thus presents itself as a model of integration between culture, technology and sustainability, confirming Turin as a cutting-edge city and a reference point for innovative events that look to the future.
