Taking off again a landmark program for startups in Turin: the 2024 cohort of Techstars Transformative World Torino will work until May on innovative solutions in the field of Smart Mobility and City of the Future. Following the success of past cohort participants, who raised a total of more than $90 million in funding, Techstars has decided to expand the scope into diverse areas including Quantum Computing, Maritime, Deep Tech, EdTech, AI, PropTech, Mobility, AudioTech, Future of Work and Hospitality. In this year's cohort they selected both software and hardware companies, demonstrating the program's commitment to fostering innovation in various technology areas.

Notably, this year's cohort boasts the highest participation of Italian companies ever, with six local companies among the startups that will gather in Turin. This achievement underscores the growing entrepreneurial landscape in Italy and confirms the position of the Turin ecosystem as a center of technological innovation. This year's participants come from Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria and Vietnam and will settle at OGR Torino for the next 13 weeks.

Over the past year, alumni companies have raised $38 million in funding, and Techstars has successfully completed one exit, with another in the pipeline. The accelerator has also expanded its team with the addition of Sheila Simon as Program Manager and Virginia Pigato as Investment Analyst to provide unprecedented support to founders during and beyond the accelerator journey.

Also new this year is a partnership with LIFTT, a major venture capital fund that gives support to companies and startups in Turin and around the world, and Arcanys Ventures, an experienced technology investor, to provide founders with valuable expertise and resources. Techstars has also partnered with Hyrise, a German sales academy, to strengthen the sales capabilities of portfolio companies, a unique and innovative offering for founders in the accelerator landscape. The partners of Techstars Transformative World Torino are Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.
