€400,000 round for UTwin, startup specializing in creating digital twins for digital building management

The innovative young company operates in the proptech sector and focuses on managing building data in a digital and sustainable way.

UTwin, a startup founded in 2020 in Turin initially under the name Strategic Bim, has as its main product the creation of digital twins of buildings for Digital Building Management. Using thousands of sensors, UTwin's software allows any building to be digitally mapped, offering advantages in maintenance activities, management optimization and consumption monitoring. The startup has already digitized more than 1 million square meters of buildings, including Lavazza's Turin headquarters, Cino Zucchi's "Nuvola," the Aura shopping mall in Rome owned by Svicom, an Amazon department store and a large comprehensive school in Turin.

UTwin, already supported by I3P, raised 400,000 euros of investment in its first seed round, while formalizing the rebranding activity from Strategic Bim to UTwin. The investment round was led by CdP Venture Capital, after TechstarsTechstars, the leading startup accelerator in the United States. UTwin was also recently supported by Intesa Sanpaolo by winning the "Esg Climate in Action" competition. With this funding, UTwin aims to expand its international presence and consolidate its presence in Italy, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

The goal of the Turin-based startup is to shape a digital future and cultivate technology culture and education with the aim of incentivizing proper management of buildings, from civil construction to offices, schools and commercial spaces, resulting in huge benefits in terms of sustainability.
