Inauguration of Planet Smart City's new Competence Center in Turin

4,000 square meters where 350 professionals will work for the group, which aims for national and international expansion and listing within two years.

Inaugurated on Corso Stati Uniti in Turin, Italy, the new Competence Center of Planet Smart City. This multidisciplinary hub will house 350 professionals and aims to strengthen the company's presence both nationally and internationally. Located in close proximity to the Polytechnic and its research centers, the Competence Center aims to leverage the expertise present in Turinwhile maintaining a global outlook.

Planet Smart City has for years been a Turin-based company active in the application of social, technological and innovative solutions in social housing. Last year, the company acquired Politecna Europa, a company specializing in architectural and engineering design. This new initiative aims to further consolidate Planet Smart City's presence in Turin, as already anticipated in November by Graziella Roccella, Chief Research & Product Design Officer, during her speech at our first event Tribe by ToTeM.

Giovanni Savio, CEO of Planet Smart City, commented on the importance of approaching the real estate sector with a holistic perspective. According to Savio, investment development requires the involvement of not only engineers and architects, but also computer scientists, digital experts, sustainability consultants, sociologists, psychologists, and humanists. The goal is not just to create new buildings, but to develop new communities. The Competence Center in Turin will be the place where these professionals, from different disciplines, can work together to integrate innovative solutions and create positive social impact.

The new Competence Center will be based in a prestigious 4,000-square-meter building in downtown Turin and will be coordinated by Pietro Putetto, CEO of Planet Advisory. There will be two main areas of work: the development of Proptech solutions, which leverage technology to enhance the real estate sector, and the application of Environment Social Governance (ESG) principles in construction. These are two macro-trends that are transforming projects in the real estate sector, making neighborhoods and homes increasingly smart. Planet Smart City, born with this vision, now aims to consolidate it through the Competence Center.

The opening of the Competence Center coincides with the start of a new phase of international development for Planet Smart City, which will open up to consulting and collaboration with foreign operators. Until now, the company's consulting activities had been focused only in Italy. Recently, they signed an agreement with Indian player Kumar Builders for support in the development of Kumar Parc Residences, a residential project in the Hadapsar district in the city of Pune. The project covers an area of 3.5 hectares and involves the construction of 10 residential towers, each with 30 floors, totaling about 1,200 apartments, including three- and four-bedroom apartments.

With the opening of the new Competence Center in Turin and the expansion of its international activities, Planet Smart City confirms its desire to promote innovative solutions in the real estate sector, ranging from technology to the social and environmental spheres. The company aims to create not only new buildings, but true sustainable and inclusive communities.
