The Startup Party I3P 2023, held yesterday, celebrated the successes of the companies supported by the incubator. During the event, Giuseppe Scellato, President of I3P, announced that the network's companies had reached an absolute record in terms of investments, exceeding €51 million, marking a historic milestone.
During the evening, ALBA Robot received recognition as "Startup of the Year 2023". Founded in Turin in 2019 and in incubation at I3P since 2020, ALBA Robot received a €2.6 million investment in July 2023, significantly accelerating the development of its autonomous vehicle for indoor micro-mobility and in pedestrian spaces.
Andrea Bertaia, Co-Founder & CEO of ALBA Robot, expressed gratitude to the I3P innovation ecosystem. Bertaia said the incubator played a key role in supporting ALBA Robot along the incubation path and emphasised the importance of networks, talent and investors for the success of any startup. With the "Startup of the Year" award, ALBA Robot is now determined to prove its worth in the marketplace.
The evening went on to celebrate further successes, including significant funding from other startups supported by I3P, such as Leaf Space, Easyrain, Ermes Cyber Security, Freedome and Algor Education. These results highlight the strength and diversity of the network of incubated companies, confirming I3P's role in encouraging innovation and generating economic development.
In addition to the startups' successes, the evening highlighted I3P's ongoing commitment to promoting innovation through special projects such as the incubation programme ESA BIC Turin, Terra&Tech for the wine sector, and the permanent open innovation platform Digital Factory. The I3P 2023 Startup Festival thus provided a comprehensive overview of the successes achieved and promising initiatives that continue to support innovative entrepreneurship.
