Argotec, a Turin-based company specialising in small satellites and innovative solutions for aerospacehas won the “Premio dei Premi” 2023, awarded by the Cotec Foundation under the patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic. This prestigious award comes on the heels of Argotec's victory in September in Confindustria's "Imprese per l'Innovazione" award, further underlining Argotec's exceptional track record in the field of space and innovation.

During the selection process, which involved the company for the entire first part of the year, they evaluated several aspects, including product and process innovation, sustainability, social responsibility and staff welfare. David Avino, CEO and founder of Argotec, proudly points out: "Innovation is the distinctive beacon of our business, both for products and processes."

Avino emphasises the importance of continuous investment in research and development, which has enabled Argotec to develop world-leading space technology solutions. Among the recent successes, Avino enthusiastically mentions the LiciaCube project, which captured the impact of the Nasa Dart probe with an asteroid at a distance of 11 million km, becoming the Italian object to have reached the maximum distance in space ever and earning the award Mission of the Year 2023 from the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics.

2024 promises to be a year of significant milestones and new beginnings for Argotec. The company is aiming for the completion of the International Board of Directors, the delivery of the first batch of Earth observation satellites for the Iride programme, the operation of the new SpacePark near Turin and the opening of the new production facility in Largo, USA. Argotec continues to break new ground, consolidating its position as a leader in space innovation and contributing to the advancement of technology at a global level.
