In the evening of September 28th at Toolbox Coworking took place the demo day of the autumn 2020 edition of YOU ARE Inventor, the prototyping bootcamp accelerator of the SEI - School of Entrepreneurship & Innovation During 10 days, students with a passion for technology, innovation and startups transformed their ideas into working prototypes supported by mentors, experts and the team of FabLab Turin.

The teams presented their ideas in front of a jury composed of professionals from the world of investment, innovation and startups: 5 minutes each and a dozen slides for the dream of seeing their project awarded and inserted in the mentoring path that will bring it to life.

To address the problem of isolation felt by students due to distance learning, the Lacuna team has created a multi-sensorial platform for online lessons. Simply log in, choose your classroom seat, put on your VR viewer and headphones to join the virtual classroom and experience interaction with your teacher, classmates and environment.

Burnout is a serious condition of continuous high levels of stress. The BIP team has developed a device that measures heart rate during work and sends the data to companies so that they can assess the impact of the problem on their employees.

Many young people need to move around frequently for work and spend a lot of money on rent, as owning a home cannot provide them with the flexibility they actually need. Swappy is an online platform that wants to help people to exchange their property with others around the world.

Lilo is a device that combines a lighting system and a bike lock with the aim of making cyclists feel safe both while using their bike and when they have to leave it parked on the road. It can also function as a direction indicator to warn of the bike's movements while it is in motion.

Heerya is a compact and wearable device that allows you to hear your voice amplified in case you are talking too loud so that you can lower the volume helping to reduce noise pollution in crowded places.

Esmet is a system capable of reproducing human-like interactions using holograms. It is easy to use as it is specifically designed for the elderly. The software automatically transforms the user's video images into a holographic signal.

Many people can't afford a pension plan but the Savingbud team provides one, paid for by the affiliated brands: just choose a private pension plan, make a purchase in a participating store and show your QR code at the store to receive a cash back directly on your pension fund.

Which projects were presented during this edition?
