Our city has a centuries-old tradition related to the insurance sector, so it was easy to find the right organizations to start this new training program: Intesa Sanpaolo Vita and Reale Mutua together with the School of Management and Economics, the Politecnico di Torino, the Carlo Alberto College and Compagnia di San Paolo are about to launch a Master in Insurance Innovation.
The director of the master Elisa Luciano, lecturer in Finance at the University of Turin wanted to underline “the very strong propensity for technologies of Reale Mutua, or the insurance branch of Intesa Sanpaolowhich has its in Turin the headquarters of the Non-Life business, or to Compagnia di San Paolo, which has long been active in reinforcing the vocation of Turin as a center of innovation" and added that this course will give "to a century-old business the eyes of the future". All the digital aspects of the insurance sector will therefore be the protagonists, such as the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning or the use of big data for the development of services increasingly in line with the present and future needs of the insured.
Innovation, inevitably, will also affect the teaching method: before class the students will receive all the digital materials to support the topics that will be covered in order to facilitate the interaction of the lecturers with the students attending the course. The career opportunities will be of high level thanks to the connections with the innovation centers of insurance companies in the city area, in order to exploit as much as possible the skills transmitted to participants.
