Quickload: three startups from Turin among the winners of the first acceleration phase for the gaming sector

The shortlisted ideas will be involved in customized mentorship tracks curated by Microsoft, OGR and 34BigThings.

Quickload powered by OGR Torino were launched last fall by OGR Torino, 34BigThings and Microsoft to support European gaming startups and boost new talents in the sector and their innovative ideas. At the end of the first phase of the program, an international commission of experts has chosen, among the forty participants, the six startups that will have access to personalized mentorship paths that will take place in the next months and will have at their disposal tools and resources for the development of their business.

Quickload's activities were funded by Microsoft and project investor partners Digital Magics, Sellalab, Dpixel and Gem Capital.

Novis Games (Turin)

This project was born to create a gaming ecosystem that promotes inclusion and accessibility in the world of gaming, offering developers the ability to create videogame content that allows both blind and visually impaired people to play individually or together. All this thanks to the integration with a Novis proprietary software and a series of plugins accessible completely free of charge.

Deep Monolith (Turin)

This startup presented a multiplayer game with a solid narrative base based on an innovative model related to blockchain, with the aim of creating new ways of playing thanks to the encounter between different ideas and genres.

Dramatic Iceberg (Turin)

The game presented is called "Racoonie: Legend of the Spirits", a tribute to the RPGs of the past and a challenge for the developers, who wanted to deal with a genre that they loved since childhood but still did not know in depth in terms of programming to try to improve and grow within the Italian market.

"Moon Plague" is a third-person survival horror, set on a futuristic lunar station, in which the characters must alternate between moments of exploration and action to survive numerous threats from other humans and extraterrestrial creatures.

"Mongrels Arena" is a combat RPG set in a dynamic arena whose features change with each game, resulting in an innovative gaming experience that is always different and never monotonous.
