Launched NeH Experience, the Turin-based startup of food and wine tours

The platform consists of a purchasing and booking system, aggregating services such as those offered by Airbnb, Booking and The Fork, but has been developed in-house to allow any kind of customisation.

NeH Experience is the startup related to food and wine tours founded by Carlo Abrate, Matteo Jaretti Sodano and Emanuele Sega, who deal with accounting, technological and commercial management and coordinate a team of 10 people. The project was born from the Instagram page Piedmont Food, created in 2018 by Emanuele Sega and focused on the promotion of Piedmontese food and wine.

The startup came to life in December, after about six months of conception and coaching by a business angel, and has been launched and operational since this spring. Today fifty local businesses are part of the NeH Experience network, with a total offer of around 100 different activities in Turin and the Langhe and Monferrato areas, with the aim of expanding the offer to northern Piedmont and mountain areas by the end of the year.

Experiences can be filtered according to a budget of less than €50, between €50 and €100 and over €100. For the realities present on the platform, it is possible to network through the Internet and social networks and interact with end users by building customisable experiences based on specific needs. The experiences available involve the food and wine, hotel and event organisation sectors.

The three co-founders explained: "We are former schoolmates who have always had a common passion for this industry: we all met in Turin during the pandemic and we decided to create something that would help the industry during the healthcare crisis and bring value to the end customer. Our platform is a purchasing and booking system and everything was developed in-house to make the experiences customisable to the different needs of the partners. We take care of the selection of the best realities and the design of bundles that also include recreational and discovery activities, but each choice can be implemented according to the tastes of the individual user, who is guided in the customisation of the experiences through artificial intelligence".
