Vento presented its new startups to investors at the OGR Torino

After 4 months of work, 8 teams of entrepreneurs presented their projects to top Italian and international VC funds and Business Angels.

This week marked the completion of Vento – Venture Originator, a four-month venture building program during which 30 aspiring entrepreneurs completed all the necessary steps to create a startup. Hailing from every region of Italy, as well as Austria, Germany and the United States, these young talents started the journey in February this year, united by the same ambition: to create an internationally scalable business and become successful entrepreneurs.

Supported by more than 30 mentors and advisors, teams had the opportunity to interact with over 20 seasoned entrepreneurs and startup founders and then put themselves to the test in the final round, held at OGR Torino: to present their project in front of dozens of investors and raise the capital needed to launch their business. Crucial to the success of the program was the support of Exor and partnerships with Talent Garden, OGR Torino, and Compagnia di San Paolo. Throughout the journey, five teams were supported by the following Partner Companies: Telepass, Reply, UniCredit, Reale Mutua and Angelini Industries.

Exor CEO John Elkann commented: "The participants have responded with enthusiasm and determination to the challenge we set, and the projects we have seen today, some of which are already very advanced, show great potential. The market response and the ability of the founders will now make the difference. Vento confirms how Italy is rich in talent and ready to play a leading role in the European and international tech ecosystem. At the same time we are receiving excellent feedback on the launch of Exor Seeds Exor Seeds in Italy, with over 1,000 entrepreneurial projects examined: for these reasons, we are ready to strengthen our commitment to Vento and make the next edition of the program an integral part of Exor Seeds".

The programme took place in the Startup Village spaces of OGR Tech, the innovation and business acceleration hub of OGR. After the first week dedicated to team creation, the young entrepreneurs dedicated themselves to problem exploration: starting from the challenges proposed by the Partners, they identified a need in the market in search of possible solutions. During the following weeks, they tackled the solution conception phase, design of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and the first validation tests. The process ended with a period dedicated to the preparation of the product launch on the market, aiming at the acquisition of the first adopters and customers.
