On July 16, the Web Marketing Festival 2021returns, in a live presence in Rimini and also streamed online on the hybrid.io platform. In addition to the return of the Startup District and the Startup Stage, in which over 70 innovative projects will be able to present themselves to potential customers, partners and investors, the novelty of this 2021 edition is the format of the World Startup Fest: initiatives that will involve Startups and Scaleups from England, Holland, France but also from Asia, Africa, USA and South America. With this new format the WMF wants to become a global benchmark in the development of a unique global entrepreneurial, innovative and sustainable ecosystem.
During the event there will also be the final of the Startup Competition in which the six finalists selected from over 500 candidates in recent months will participate. Among them there will also be ToothPic, a Turin startup born as a spinoff of Politecnico di Torino and the result of the work of four researchers who are experts in cybersecurity..
The value of the incubation programs and all the other benefits offered by incubators, investors and international partners of the WMF 2021 amounts to over 400 thousand euros. The past eight editions have collected more than 3,300 applications worldwide and distributed a total value of prizes of 1.9 million euros thanks to the contribution of more than 200 companies, including investors and partners.

The startups will be evaluated by a jury of experts, professionals from venture capital, investors and corporate partners of the most active and important realities of the innovation ecosystem. Here are the projects that will compete for the title during the Startup Competition.

Innovative startup in the area of cybersecurity, a spinoff of Politecnico di Torino, which has designed and patented an application capable of transforming smartphones into a key for online authentication, thanks to a sort of fingerprint of every single smartphone: the unique and inimitable microscopic imperfections of the manufacturing materials used to make camera sensors.
Hexagro
Startup from Milan that produces technologies for vertical agriculture to build urban farming experiences. Hexagro's goal is to ensure the availability of healthy food to anyone, anywhere. In addition, the technology and expertise of the startup are used to promote social projects of vertical agriculture in farming communities in Colombia.
MYLEG
This Swiss startup helps lower limb amputees by improving their gait through a non-invasive wearable technology that can be applied to their prostheses, useful for obtaining sensory feedback during walking that improves mobility and decreases the risk of falls.
DeepMammo
Medtech startup applying Artificial Intelligence to radiology practice and digital imaging. Thanks to Image Recognition and Deep Neural Network it offers useful support for the early diagnosis of breast cancer.
Recornea
Startup that deals with the creation of implantable therapeutic devices for the treatment of eye diseases. Their first device, called GROSSO, is used in the treatment of keratoconus, a disease that involves a progressive deformation of the cornea.
VoiceMed
Platform used in the prevention and early diagnosis of certain types of diseases. VoiceMed's machine learning algorithm analyzes voice recordings and from some voice traits is able to recognize some respiratory diseases, such as Covid-19.
