The MAUTO has just activated a new online radio guide service, with the collaboration of the startup E-sopo. To activate the service it is only necessary to use a smartphone and the tour guide who decides to use it with his/her own group of visitors must only request the service during the booking of the visit. Through a password to be entered on a dedicated online platform, indicated by the ticketing office, the tour guide can generate a link to be shared with the participants of his/her tour group. At this point, visitors can log in and register with their name and listen to the tour guide's insights directly through their smartphone, also having the opportunity to interact via chat for questions and requests of any kind.
The tour guide will thus be able to speak through his/her headphones, reaching even larger groups with his/her own, comfortably and without interfering with the museum experience of other visitors. In this period, moreover, this also allows to maintain a better distance since the groups do not necessarily have to crowd around their guide. Also from a health point of view, the use of one's own devices and headphones guarantees a safer experience than the use of the Museum's physical radio guides, which are used by more than one person and require continuous sanification after every use.
The service can be requested directly on the website of the National Automobile Museum of Turin and more information about how to use it by museums, tour guides, tour operators and interpreters are available directly on the website of the startup E-sopo.
