IDT brings offices, an incubator for startups and over 200 new jobs to Barriera di Milano

The CEO Tafuri: "It will be a facility open to the neighborhood: we want to encourage young people to come and work and live here".

IDT with its company Brandsdistribution, B2B of designer clothing and fashion accessories has accumulated a great deal of experience in the fashion business, since it was launched in 2006, and also in the development of innovative logistics solutions, exploiting the potential of online sales and digital transformation. Today, it has 70 employees, distributes 120 brands in 173 countries, and its digital platforms reach more than 620,000 customers worldwide. IDT is about to move its HQ in the Barriera di Milano district: starting from the redevelopment of the structure of the historical Q35 disco, formerly converted into an event and exhibition space, the 6.000 sqm project will be signed by Blaarchitecture studio, which has already built Satispay's headquarters in Milan, and will be equipped with photovoltaic panels, garden spaces, and a cafeteria and an event room on the roof.

The CEO Carlo Tafuri said: "We take on board the criteria of eco-sustainability, creating an area that attracts talent and that in the digital world feel at home. It will be a facility open to the neighborhood, we are close to the Nuvola Lavazza, to the future Bologna stop of the new subway line: we want to encourage young people to come and work and live here".

In addition to Brandsdistribution, the structure will also host Bdroppya platform dedicated to dropshipping online sellers, thanks to which users can sell Brandsdistribution's fashion catalog on their own site or on the main marketplacesand, in the B2C field, the digital brands developed by IDT (Skon, Bodyboo, Ayay, Duca di Morron). The new headquarters will also include an incubator since Tafuri's company, which will invest € 3 million in the project, has a significant history in startups having already launched Skinlabo, Fashion Up, Salimbeni and Letsell, in which Liftt has also invested.

Between now and mid-2022 IDT will grow thanks to 200 new hires: the search will focus mainly on developers, in order to internalize some services that are currently entrusted to external companies. The company, which currently has a turnover of 40 mln €, wants to aim at the goal of 100 mln €: "The hub will be a hotspot for investment funds looking for opportunities," confirms Tafuri. "As for us, we are evaluating a listing in the Star segment to accelerate growth, as well as continuing to invest in the scalability of digital brands."
