Terna, through the "Data Science for Resilience" call, is looking for digital solutions that, using data and/or image analysis, support business decisions in predictive maintenance and investment optimization, with the goal of making the company's infrastructure safer and more efficient.
Terna is one of Europe's leading Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and manages in Italy the high-voltage electricity grid, one of the most modern and technological in Europe. It plays a central role in the process of energy transition to eco-friendly sources, ensuring a safe and efficient supply to households and businesses.
The call is aimed at high-tech solutions capable of developing data analytics models and algorithms based on a "what if" approach, which can leverage data to guide Terna with a Data Driven approach in the following areas:
- Data Analytics for decision support
- Data Analytics for investment forecasting
- Data Analytics for weather and climate forecasting
Also sought are artificial intelligence solutions for reconstruction and image recognition of equipment and components of High Voltage Power Stations.
Up for grabs for selected startups is the opportunity to create a Proof of Concept funded by Terna.
