Applications are now open for the new incubation call promoted by ESA BIC Turin, addressed to space startups with innovative technologies for upstream and downstream applications. Founding teams and young companies that will apply by September 9, 2022 will be able to join the largest community of space companies in Europe.
During the programme of the ESA Business Incubation Turin, the selected startups will receive a financial contribution of €50,000, for both product development and intellectual property management, as well as business coaching and mentoring services, technological support, assistance in fundraising activities and access to a vast network of partners, including large companies, investment funds and research institutions of international relevance.
ESA BIC Turin was launched in November 2021 thanks to the synergy between I3P, Politecnico di Torino and Links Foundation, which together won the selection made by theEuropean Space Agency and theItalian Space Agencyto found and manage the centre. The project can count on theI3P incubator's consolidated experience in the world of innovative startups, the strong scientific expertise of its technological partners, and the support of awide network of actors from the institutional, industrial and financial spheres.
The first 8 startups selected and incubated after the first round of the call - AdapTronics, Astradyne, Hipparcos, Kurs Orbital, Mespac, Space V, Synchropal, Volta Structural Energy - proposed solutions include space robotics and logistic systems, structural batteries for future satellite applications, innovative solar panels, greenhouses to enable the cultivation of terrestrial plants on space modules, and services for environmental monitoring and security in telecommunications.
The selection of the startups will close on September 9, 2022: on the website of ESA BIC Turin are available all the informations about the applications to the call and about the services offered by the incubation programme.
