Liftt has also invested, based in OGR Tech and born from the synergy between Politecnico di Torino and Compagnia di San Paolo, will welcome two new partners in its capital through the Links Foundation in April: in fact, both Compagna di San Paolo and Fondazione CRTIn the same venue, there will also be some changes to the structure of the board of directors currently composed of Stefano Buono (Liftt President), Giovanni Tesoriere (Liftt CEO) Paolo Mulassano (Resp. Obiettivo "Pianeta" in Compagnia di San Paolo), Carla Patrizia Ferrari (President of Equiter & CFO Compagnia di San Paolo), Giuseppe Scellato (President I3P) and Giuliana Mattiazzo (Vice-Rector of the Turin Polytechnic).
After the capital increase of € 7.2 mln at the beginning of 2020, supported by 36 investors, and the new round of € 8.4 mln last year and the seed capital of Fondazione Links, of € 1.8 mln, Liftt had increased its capital to € 17.4 million, to be allocated to its activities in support of innovation in Turin: 150 startups and 9 investments involving Usophy, Microchannel Devices, Waterview, Invrsion, Letsell, Corion, Dialybrid and Maieutical Labs..
With this latest transaction, the two foundations will be able to reinforce their strategic positioning and commitment to funding the city's innovation sector. Liftt is currently moving towards the goal of bringing its portfolio of supported companies beyond 100 units by 2024, through the investment of about € 90 mln, to which will now be added the € 4 mln brought as a dowry by the two new partners. The aim of these interventions is to be able to multiply this value by 5 times, thanks to co-investment operations, which will bring the capital to € 450 mln.
